UK training contracts are not only for those who have taken up a degree in law in college or university. Those who have chosen a different major and then later on contemplated that a career as a solicitor or in the law profession is for them still have a chance to live that dream. After all, it is never too late to make changes and build your life.
Arming yourself with the necessary information and training or work experience in firms, whether they are big or small, is the first step to familiarize yourself with the profession. You are also required to acquire a Graduate Diploma in Law to convert your non-law degree. After that, complete a Legal Practice Course, which is a vocational course available to every aspiring solicitor. Finally, getting a training contract. A training contract gives you the opportunity to learn about what being a solicitor is really like.
